THE NAME BEHIND THE BRAND

My passion for Africa began in 1995. It was the start of my 20 year love affair with all things African. I was fortunate to join an overland expedition and travelled extensively through the Middle East, West, East and Southern Africa. It was only the beginning of many wonderful adventures to come. Excited that I was able to visit some of the most fascinating places on earth, a few of my most memorable experiences include the beautiful “Lost City of Petra” in Jordan, a desert expedition originating in Morocco and ending on the edge of the Sahara Desert in Mauritania. Meeting the Dogon people in Mali and getting back to nature in the Serengeti, sleeping under a blanket of stars listening to the night time calls of the lion and hyena.
I was totally enthralled by the people I met along the way, the land, the local culture and diversity. By the end of 1998 I finally settled down in Arusha, the Tanzanian "safari capital" and gateway to the world famous UNESCO designated Serengeti National Park. Lucky to have the park in "my backyard" I worked for various African based safari companies, gaining vast experience and knowledge in all facets of safari adventures. Immersed in the Tanzanian culture I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside local guides and be involved with community projects. The expert operational knowledge I gained enables me to organise the best safari options for the most discerning traveller.
